ICOR Guidelines

ICOR is a trusted association for individuals and families from across the globe who are living abroad whether current, former, or prospective .

Our guidelines are designed to maintain respectful behaviour within our community and to uphold the quality of information provided. This commitment ensures that ICOR continues to be the special organization that it is.

ICOR OFFICIAL EVENTS

Formal and all-inclusive venues for ICOR members regardless of the number of people. Events shall be organized and advertised through the formal process in consultation with the ICOR activities coordinators and treasurer for the budget. ICOR assumes liability concerns.

ICOR ACTIVITIES

Formal activities open to all ICOR members, organized and advertised through the formal process in consultation with the ICOR activities coordinators and treasured to approve budget (if needed). There may be limits on the number of participants for some activities. Sub-groups may form out of these activities, such as ICOR book group. ICOR assumes liability concerns.

MEET-UPs

Are ICOR member- initiated activities that do not include formal ICOR sponsorship nor liability.  These are non-religious, non-political social activities and any costs are incurred directly by participants. Meet-up organizers shall not submit receipts nor expect reimbursement for any incurred costs.  ICOR members can directly post Meet-ups on the Website Forum and/or on the ICOR Facebook Page. 

As an ICOR member, you have agreed to adhere to our Constitution & Bylaws and to respect our Event & Activities Guidelines. You can access ICOR's Constitution and Bylaws by clicking the links above.

Socializing Guidelines

ICOR is a trusted community dedicated to internationals from all around the world. We've established clear guidelines to ensure respectful conduct and the high quality of information within our community, preserving the unique character of ICOR.

At ICOR, our commitment is to create a secure and authentic space for our members. By adhering to these Socializing Guidelines, you actively contribute to making ICOR a welcoming place for people of diverse backgrounds to come together and connect. Please show respect to both ICOR and fellow members; those who do not follow our Socializing Guidelines may face temporary or permanent account deactivation.

COMMUNICATE IN A COMMON LANGUAGE

English serves as the primary language of ICOR, and we aim to be inclusive. Therefore, we request  you communicate in English when posting content or sending messages that are visible to the community. 

RESPECT DIVERSITY

ICOR boasts a richly diverse member base, representing various cultures, religions, and languages. We take pride in this diversity, and we ask that you keep this in mind while socializing. Show consideration for other members' perspectives and respect their boundaries. Please use ICOR for its intended purpose, as we are not a platform for business promotion, recruitment, or dating.

"NO"  TO UNSOLICITED CONTENT

Nobody appreciates unsolicited, commercial, promotional, or impersonal content – and ICOR is no exception. We consider such content as spam, and it is not tolerated within our community. Avoid sending identical messages to multiple recipients and, when reaching out to someone new, send a personalized message.

BE YOURSELF

Real profiles with genuine names and pictures are essential to maintaining trust within our community. ICOR expects an authentic portrayal of yourself on all ICOR platforms.
